Valves cycle at 1/2 crankshaft RPM. At 7,000 RPM the valves open 58 times per second. At 8,000 RPM 67 per second. At 9.000 RPM 75 per second. Springs oscillate and bounce violently.  Spring design and material are critical in dampening this movement which results in reliability and performance.  Race springs require precise setup.  Protect your race engine.  Select the best springs and components available and use a qualified and  experienced engine builder.
